SARAVYC is pleased to announce three new members to our team of researchers! In May 2018 Andrea Polonijo, Maggie MacCaulay and Ashley Taylor joined us as Postdoctoral Researchers. Andrea is a PhD candidate in the UBC Department of Sociology with an interest in understanding how social factors shape adolescent health. Maggie received her doctoral degree in Communication from Simon Fraser University in 2017; her research interests are LGBTQ studies, gender/sexuality, public health, and new media. Ashley is a PhD candidate in Human Development and Family Studies at Iowa State University, whose dissertation is titled “Sexual Identity and Intimate Partner Violence: The Role of Family and Microaggressions Among LGBTQ+ Individuals”. We look forward to working together in months to come.
