Annie Pullen Sansfaçon PhD

Annie Pullen Sansfaçon (PhD Ethics, Social work, DeMontfort University, UK) is Professor at the University of Montreal’s School of Social Work and holds the Canada Research Chair on Transgender Children and their families.  She acts as the scientific director of the multidisciplinary research team on transgender youth and their families, and is the Co-director of CRI-JaDE, the Interdisciplinary Research Center on Intersectional Justice, Decolonization and Equity. Her research program aims at understanding how different structures and contexts affect the wellbeing of trans and non-binary youth as well as their families. Rooted in anti-oppressive and trans affirmative perspectives, she proposes interventions and methodologies that support their empowerment.
