Understanding Teen Sexual Orientation & Health

以下包括英文及中文資訊

A Workshop for East Asian Parents & Caregivers

Talking about sexual orientation can be hard, but small steps go a long way. Research shows that a supportive family who is accepting without judgement helps reduce health risks, improve well-being, and raise self-esteem for youth. This means that understanding and respecting your child’s sexual orientation makes a real difference in their lives.

SARAVYC and Options for Sexual Health invite you to a workshop where you’ll learn more about:

  • Supporting and understanding teen sexual orientation
  • Research that shows family support improves youth well-being
  • Creating a caring and accepting family dynamic

You’ll also have the opportunity to share your perspective and have your questions answered by sexual health experts. For more information email saravyc@nursing.ubc.ca.

♿ Both locations are wheelchair accessible.
💬 Mandarin and Cantonese interpretation available.
☕ Light refreshments provided.
