In Response to COVID-19

The safety of our team, research participants, and community is of utmost importance. In line with recommendations from national, provincial, regional, and local health agencies, our offices at the School of Nursing are closed to the public and the SARAVYC team is now working remotely.

As we practice social distancing, our team continues to work on important research and is available for communication at saravyc@nursing.ubc.ca.

We are closely monitoring the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) websites for updates on COVID-19.

SARAVYC is sensitive to the ways xenophobia and racism may be affecting some of our community members. We would like to remind everyone that this is a global pandemic that we all are responsible to help prevent.

Please see our list of resources should you or a loved one be in need.

Thank you to you all our community and supporters.

SARAVYC is an international, multi-disciplinary, award-winning team that studies how resilience, stigma, discrimination, violence, and trauma affect young people’s health.
