Meet Our New Managing Director

We’re pleased to welcome our new Managing Director to the SARAVYC team. Dr. Ronita Nath comes to us with a PhD in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University and we’re thrilled to have her knowledge and enthusiasm leading our team.

“I’m very happy to be joining the talented SARAVYC team. Their dedication to improving health equity for youth who are targeted by stigma and discrimination truly inspires me.”

– Dr. Ronita Nath

Ronita recently completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the BC Centre for Disease Control, where her research aimed to understand the drivers of the syphilis epidemic among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men in British Columbia. Her research interests include adolescent health, sexual and gender minority populations, and infectious diseases.

At SARAVYC, Ronita will be leading the team to develop real world interventions and support the development of evidence-based recommendations for government, schools, and health professionals to reduce health inequities for marginalized youth.

“I look forward to sharing SARAVYC’s research and accomplishments as we move into the new year. We’ve got much to look forward to!”

– Dr. Ronita Nath
