For Our Youth
SARAVYC is offering a suite of free, evidence-based programs supporting 2SLGBTQ+ youth, their families, and their communities across Canada. All programs are co-developed with community advisors, available in English and French, and offered online or in person. This project is funded by Health Canada.
Supporting Youth
For 2SLGBTQ+ youth ages 14–25
For Youth Like Me
Sexual health workshop for 2SLGBTQ+ youth. Designed for youth ages 14–25, this workshop explores sexual health with trained facilitators in a judgment-free, affirming environment. Sessions are available online (Zoom) or in person.
- Two 1-hour sessions, one week apart
- Flexible scheduling — lunchtime or after school
- One pre-survey, and two post-surveys
- Available in English and French
- Currently offered in Alberta, Ontario, Newfoundland, and Quebec, with expansion to Yukon
Participants who complete the optional surveys receive a $50 honorarium as a thank-you for their time.

Taking Pride
Healthy relationships program for 2SLGBTQ+ youth. Taking Pride is a healthy relationships and dating violence prevention program created by and for 2SLGBTQ+ youth. It focuses on building skills for healthy romantic and friendship relationships.
- Focused on healthy relationships and dating violence prevention
- Available online or in person
- Available in English and French
- Open to 2SLGBTQ+ youth across Canada
Youth can enroll in For Youth Like Me, Taking Pride, or both programs together.

For newcomer parents and caregivers
Help Us Support Youth Sexual Health Education
This workshop is designed for parents, caregivers, and guardians of migrant, racialized, and refugee youth. Learn practical strategies for supporting your child’s sexual health, in a culturally relevant and welcoming setting.
- One 2-hour session, online or in person
- Materials available in multiple languages including Hindi, Mandarin, and Tagalog
- Interpreters and translators available on request
- Online = $20 honorarium, In-person = catered meal
An optional 15-minute feedback survey is included. Participants receive an honorarium or catering depending on session format.

Webinar series
Lunch with SARAVYC
Lunch with SARAVYC is a free, 30-minute monthly webinar series hosted by SARAVYC at UBC School of Nursing. Each session features a researcher presenting current findings on youth health, stigma, and resilience in plain language. Open to community members, health professionals, educators, and practitioners across sectors. Every third Thursday of the month at 12:30 p.m. PT.
